Filippo Brunelleschi was born 1377 in Florence, Italy. He was an italian architect and designer. He was known for his work on the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. His works consisted of bronze sculptures of evangelists and saints. He has a background in mathematics and literature, this allowed him to solve complex problems like the dome of the Cathedral. It is believed that Filippo rediscovered the linear perspective which led contemporary artists to create very realistic pieces.
