(1799): This is often viewed as the effective end of the French Revolution as Napoleon Bonaparte comes into power as despot of France and ultimately undoes everything that his been done during the French Revolution, back to pretty much an absolute monarch. This was done due to the directory being ineffective and Napoleon saw an easy chance to rise to power. This effected France because Napoleon then expanded France's land into the biggest nation since Roman times.
