jun 29, 1767 - Townshend Acts (29 jun 1767-12 apr 1770)

Description:

In responce to hostilities caused by the stamp act, parliament passed the townshend acts to continue raising revenue. This act taxed tea, glass, paper, paint, and lead. Colonists accepted this act at first but later realized that it was also taxation without representation. These acts were later repealed except for the tax on tea.
