In canada fredrick Banting talked J.J.R. Macloud a professor in toronto into letting him have a med student work with him charles best which the 2 failed countless times but didn't give up allowing them to extract insulin from a dog and then isolated 2 other dogs used one as a control and administered the insulin to the other it lived longer then the control till they ran out of insulin then the dog died 3 weeks later.Added to timeline:
