Description:
King George III stated that colonists could not cross the Appalation Mountains and expand westward into the land obtained by the 7 years war, as this would anger the Native Americans. The colonists were angry at not being able to reap the rewards of their labors, and ignored the line, settling east alongside the Ohio River.(https://www.ushistory.org/declaration/related/proc63.html)
