Historians say that Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake in Rouen by the English on May 1431. She was 19 years old when she died of smoke inhalation. Apparenlty a second burning was ordered and her organs still survived it, so they burnt her a third time, to destroy her body completely. Her cinders and debris were thrown into the Seine river.Added to timeline:
