Gacy tortured, raped, and murdered 33 young men, some teenages. This lasted for 6 years until police were investigating the disappearance of 15 year old Robert Piest in 1978 when they caught a lead and tracked Gacy down. Police found 33 bodies in Gacy's house, 3 on the property, and 4 along the Des Plaines River. Gacy was charged with 33 counts of murder. John Wayne Gacy was executed by lethal injection in 1944.Added to timeline:
