The Inca Empire was already facing many growing issues prior to its end. Plagues had spread to this land and had ravaged the population, and succession disputes between brothers Huascar and Atahualpa. However the Inca Empire truly collapsed when Spanish conquistadores killed the Inca ruling elite.
