Description:
When Elizabeth the I was crowed Queen of England in 1558, she was believed to help restore the Protestant church. The damage done by her half sisters' rule effected the Catholic rule in the country. She believed the two religions carried the same faith and was devoted to the restoration of them. Being raised in the Protestant church, she was very devoted to it. Government was in favor of harsh control ovr the Catholics, like her sister, which threatened the peaces between the two churches.
