The war ended the way US never expected. US faced an unanticipated failure. This was also the time when american citizens stopped trusting US government. Almost 60,000 were dead when President Nixon withdrew the very last troop from the battle ground. Thousands of soldiers suffered from the physical and psychological repercussions. About 112 billion was spent for nothing by US.South Vietnam surrendered to NFL and the North Vietnamese army. Also ended up being reunited and a COMMUNIST country.
