mar 18, 1766 - Repeal of Stamp  Act and Passage  of Declaratory  Act 

Description:

Parliament voted to repeal the stamp act on March 18th 1766. The same day parliament passed declaratory acts asserting that the British government had free and to total legislative power over the colonies. The colonies ignored the declaratory act and rejoiced over repeal.
