in 1517, a German monk by the name of Martin Luther majorly called out the Roman Catholic church for all of the unvirtuous things within their community. Martin Luther saw the corruptness of the church and in their beliefs and the falsehood that was set upon their people. Luther took a bold move by forcefully presenting a list of his opinions about these things which were called the Ninety-Five Theses directly t the Roman Catholic church. Luther called for a reformation of the church and was supported by many other people eventually leading to the formation of the Lutheran and Protestant churches.
