Description:

The Colombian exchange was the transfer of crops, animals, diseases, and culture in between the New and Old World. The small pox, cattle, horses, wheat, and rice were transferred from the Old World to the New World. **Maize, potatoes, squash, and chilies were transferred from the New World to the Old World.** The Colombian Exchange allowed for population growth in the New World because of the new crops, but many Natives also died because of diseases like small pox that were transferred. Population in the Old World also increased because of the new crops.
