jan 2, 1500 - Mesoamerican Civilizations
Description:
**Mesoamerican civilizations were populous urban societies that relied on large scale agriculture production of the three sisters: maize, squash, and beans.** Examples of these Mesoamerican civilizations were the Aztecs and Incas. In contrast the Native American societies in North America had smaller populations because they lacked the large-scale agriculture production, however the North American tribes were extremely diverse compared to the Mesoamericans and other North American tribes. These different tribes had different values, staple crops, and livestock that they placed special value on.
