jan 1, 2003 - R & P Grant Release Paper on Findings
Description:
Rosemary and Peter grant release a paper on their near 30 years of studying finches on Daphne Major. They wrote about how in 1981 a drought on the island killed most of the finches. During the drought there was an abundance of large hard to crack seeds. One bird, nicknamed “Big Bird” was born larger and therefor capable of eating these large seeds. Big Bird ended up living for 13 years, and all his descendants ants were only capable with mating with each-other. Therefor a new species had been created.
