Description:

The first Mormon missionaries were sent to England in 1837. They were led by Apostle Heber C. Kimball. They baptized nine converts in their first month. Several other missionaries were also called, including Orson Hyde, Willard Richards, and Joseph Fielding. In September 1837, the group obtained access to a building in Preston by way of the Preston Temperance Society.
