sep 18, 1914 - Government of Ireland Act

Description:

This act was also known as the Home Rule Act after enactment. This was the first law that was passed by the UK Parliament with the intention of providing home rule for Ireland. This was a controversial act that was postponed by the Suspensory Act at the outbreak of World War One. While the act never actually took place, several other attempts were made to implement it after the Easter Rising.
