21h 37min, dec 31, 1866 y - William Horner
Description:
- Horner's’ creation was nearly forgotten for nearly 30 years until 1867, when lincoln renamed the creation (Daedalum) to either “zoetrope” or “the wheel of life”
- The zoetrope consists of a cylinder with slits cut vertically in the sides, so people can look through and see the moving photograph or drawings.
This also produces the illusion of motion, for that to be created the drum would have to be spun because the faster the rate that the spinning goes, the smoother the images are.
