Once the twelve had got to England they had great success. 3,500 British became converts to the church. Their families missed them. The wife of Wilford Woodruff sent him a letter telling him they had lost a child when he was midway into his mission. The "Millennial Star" was published for the England people to read. In December Joseph Smith wrote to them teaching them about baptism for the dead. He also told them of temple building plans. The other exciting news was the first hundred saints had arrived from Great Britain and were in Nauvoo.Added to timeline:
