This is the date the goldrush commences, many people from all over the world, sail over longing for money for their families. Desperate to find gold. The goldrush started when Edward Hargraves discovered gold in Bathurst. People dig, pan and mine for just a speck of gold, sweaty miners working all day, in terrible conditions. But this day is just the very beginning of the years that would come in the gold rush.
