Officers responded to a family violence call around 2 p.m. When they arrived, Ryan Hinojo had already fled. Police returned to the home after another call that Hinojo had returned. Officers found him in the front yard. Hinojo reportedly ran across the street to a neighboring backyard where he opened fire on police officers, who shot and killed him.
