A deputy responded to a suspicious person call at approximately 7:08 p.m. A deputy pulled over a driver after seeing erratic driving. As the deputy approached the driver's window, the driver opened the door and shot and injured the deputy, who shot at the man. Police tried to make contact with the man before they deployed chemical weapons. The man was found dead inside the vehicle. It wasn't immediately certain who owned the bullet that killed Mark Alan Eberly.
