Police responded to a 911 call around 5:50 a.m., with a report that a man armed with two knives was threatening a woman. The responding officer tried to talk to the man from across the street, but the man ran at the officer with the knives. The officer tried to deploy a Taser, but Kevan Ruffin continued his chase, and Officer Bryan Pray shot and killed him.
