Diabetes was shown in scripture way back to Ebers Papyrus. The break through of insulin to help absorb gluscoe into the body was first discovered in 1922. The idea of isolating pancreatic islet emerged first from a surgeon names Frederick Banting. By the end of 1922 the researchers were able to produce large quanties of insulin.Added to timeline:
