jan 1, 1902 - Women Got to Vote

Description:

On 12th of June 1902, Australia was the first ever country in the world to allow women to vote. But alot of hard work from women was involved. There were people that didn't believe women should get to vote, they thought they were too emotional and not smart enough to understand. Although Women did stand up for their rights. Suffragettes were members of an activist women's organisations in the early 20th century who, under the banner "Votes for Women", fought for the right to vote in public elections, known as women's suffrage. It wasn't until eighteen years later in August 18, 1920, women got their own rights.
