Description:

In 1558, Anotoni de Espinosa stood before the royal court of Spain with other printers and asked the King to abolish the monopoly on printing Pablos had created. They achieved their objective, and on Sept. 17 of that year the King issued a decree that the right to engage in the printing business should be free to all.
