The first printing press of the Western Hemisphere was invented in Mexico City. Historians debate on the year in which the printing press was actually created, however the date range is between 1532-1540. 1536 is the most widely accepted date The first printer was Juan Pablos, a native of Lombardy, and he established the first printing business. He later became a Mexican citizen in 1560.
