On the 24th of June 2010 the first female prime minister was elected for Australia, Julia Gillard was the first female prime minister for Australia and supported women’s rights, Julia fought for women’s rights, spoke for women’s rights and empowered woman’s rights. It changed history. Even though it took Australia one hundred and eight years it is an amazing act of history. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait another hundred years and Julia Gillard won’t be Australia’s first and only female prime minister.
