From February 25 to 27, 1991 US forces fired at Iraqi forces retreating into Iraq on the Kuwaiti Highway 80 and 8. Over 10,000 Iraqi soldiers died and about 2,000 got captured. Many tanks were destroyed. The morals of this attack have been questioned because the forces were retreating.Added to timeline:
