II. DEGREE.

FRAVAL I the Seneschal, by the name, Knight, who only received Seneschallie, no doubt only as a brother of the previous one & also son of the first Seneschal of whom we know. The Judgment states,
“that he witnessed a donation made to the Abbey of Bonrepos in 1204 by the eldest son of the Founder of this Abbey, Alan IV of ROHAN, by name, nicknamed the young person, who in the Charter of this donation cites him after his brother Josselin of ROHAN, his Witnesses teacher Guillelmo & Alano Capellanis, Joscelino my brother, . . . Fraval Steward (Seneschallo) etc. May Viscount Josselin of Rohan name him the same immediately after Geoffroi & Conan of ROHAN his wishes, in an act he did in 1213, to confirm to the Abbey all the good things she had received from her father: His witnesses Herveo Capellano, Viscount Gaufrido & Conano his brother, Fraval Steward (Seneschallo) etc. That he was the father of two sons, namely
1. ALAN the Seneschal, who in 1254 himself made a donation to the Abbey of Bonrepos for a Foundation whose act qualifies him Sire Feudal Seneschal & Heirs of Rohan, Knight , & son of Fraval the Seneschal also Sire, Feudal Seneschal Heirs of Rohan, & Knight;”
