Khrushchev sends a second message saying that he will dismantle the Soviet missiles in Cuba if the US dismantles their missile setups that reside in Turkey. This second message arrives a day later on the 27th and is more aggressive in tone than the first. Robert Kennedy - John F Kennedy's brother and US attorney general suggests not responding to this aggressive letter or demand at all. Instead, encourage his brother to respond only to the first message.
