Description:
Kennedy allows two ships, a Soviet oil tanker and an East German passenger liner called the Bucharest, through the quarantine line. He does against his advisor's (Ex Comm) recommendations. In the United Nation's Security Council a heated debate between a US senator Adlai Stevenson, and Soviet diploma Valerian Zorin breaks out. During this debate, the United States shows the photographic evidence it has of Soviet missiles in Cuba to the Soviets.Added to timeline:
