Description:
The Soviet shipping is stopped before the quarantine line. Khrushchev, enraged sends one of two messages that he will send to the US during this Crisis. It arrives two days later on the 26th. In this letter, he claims again that the missiles are deterrents, and that the USSR has nothing but peaceful intentions toward the US. Khrushchev proposes that the missile installations would be dismantled if the US assures that there will be no invasion of Cuba. Then, one of the U-2 flyers is shot down over Cuba and the pilot is killed. The Secretary-General of the United Nations, U That, makes an urgent appeal for peace among Cuba, the US, and the USSR
