After the California gold rush when most gold had already run out, Gold was discovered in Australia. Everyone rushed over from all different countries to try and get lucky and find a Golden nugget. This was a very significant time because Australia was now not only filled with British and the indigenous people there were so many diffrent cultures and this is a significant time that made Australia the multicultural place it is today.Added to timeline:
