From 2010 to 2013 Julia Gillard was elected the 27th prime minister but more than that she was the first female prime minister in Australia. Julia Gillard was a part of the Labour party. She started many great things in Australia and helped shape its future. She started NAPLAN for all Australians in school and changed Australian history by becoming Australia’s first female prime minister. She is still very active in parliament and stands up for what she believes in right.
