Description:

On May 17 (30), unable to withstand the onslaught of the 9th and 11th corps of the Turkish army, units of the 1st Caucasian Army Corps were forced to leave Mamahatun. The Turks were advancing in the direction of Erzurum, and the Russian command sent additional forces to this sector - the 4th Plastun brigade and regiments of the 39th division.
