Description:
Consecutive waves of English immigration is absorbed into Irish Gaelic culture and grafted their feudal land system onto the Brehon laws system.
Territory held by a clan had strips of land and allocated to families according the importance and service.
Later in 1560, lands confiscated from the clans were designated plantations and leased out to colonists who held them under English common law.
This continues through to 1669.
