Description:
A treaty signed by Spain in the United States on December 10, 1898, that ended the Spanish American war. Under it, Spain relinquished all claim of sovereignty over entitled to Cuba and also seated Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines to United States. This is session of the Philippines involved in compensation of $20 million from United States to Spain.
Spain renounced all claim to Cuba, ceded Guam and Puerto Rico and it’s dependent islets to the United States, and transferred sovereignty over the Philippines to the United States and intern was paid $20 million ($610 million in 2019 dollars) by the US. General John Arbrook became the first United States military governor of the island.
