The Darfur territory was really attractive for a lot of countries, who wanted to possess that strategic place. The conflict between the British Empire and the Sultanate of Egypt was the main conflict about the possession of the territory. It was about the Egyptians who refused the political influence spread by the British Empire. It ended in November 1916.
