Emperor Constantine the 1st called a meeting to resolve issues created by Arianism. Arianism speculated that because Christ was the created son God, he lacked the divine spirit.The Nicene Creed was a resultant set of principles established by the early Christian church. Despite the in-fighting, it was determined that the Trinity consists of God the Father, Christ the son, and the holy spirit.
