I think this because this is the year the printing press was invented. the printing press was critical to the Renaissance. the printing press made it so that books could be mass produced for far less money than normal handwritten books. Ideas could be spread like never before. the printing press printed words more legible and created new jobs. the spread of books encouraged people to practice literature, allowing new ideas to spread and causing universities and schools to open in new cities
