English jurist, judge and Tory politician. Cited Locke that there was a right individually owned property constituted one of three natural rights. The three being the right of personal security, liberty and property.
Insisted that the families mixed labour in the land still meant a monopoly to ownership of one man. Said that any form of taxation without consentual representation was oppressive and should be resisted as an attack on his free person.
