Description:

Treaty No. 6 was signed at Fort Carlton, Saskatchewan. The land of what is currently some parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan were given to the federal government in exchange for goods. Twine and ammunition at a value of $1,500 would be provided annually, and livestock, horses, and wagons were given as well. A medicine chest was implemented in the house of an agent on the reserves, and rations would be given during a potential famine.
