jun 14, 1872 - Trade Union Act
Description:
The Trade Union Act was passed. The Act was Canada’s first labour law and it allowed workers to be in trade unions. Trade unions were organizations that could be joined by working-class men in the same subcategory of labour work to support each other. Since many women and children were unskilled workers, they couldn’t be a part of unions at the time.
