aug 21, 1858 - Fraser Canyon War ends
Description:
The Fraser Canyon War ended after a truce between the Nlaka’pamux and miners. The Nlaka’pamux allowed the miners to access their territory and resources due to fear of more violence. This event was a prominent conflict between newcomers and the Indigenous peoples in the history of British Columbia, and is similar to the Chilcotin War of 1864.
