oct 31, 1517 - Luther, Ninety-Five Theses
Description:
Written in 1517, it was a document that challenged the ways of the Catholic Church on subjects such as penance. It was famously nail on the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church. It was important because it challenged the church, and that was unheard of for the time period. It eventually inspired people to break away from the church itself. This document became the base of the Protestant Reformation. The Ninety-Five Theses was written in a very unique way; it questioned rather than accused.
