The Province of Canada (Ontario & Québec) & 2 of the Maritime provinces (Nova Scotia & New Brunswick) agreed to Confederation after 3 conferences. The Fathers of Confederation consisted of 36 men, and the Mothers of Confederation consisted of their wives and daughters, who had played big parts in the social gatherings that had gone on during the Conferences.Added to timeline:
