sep 18, 1850 - "Fugitive Slave Act" passed in the United States

Description:

This act allowed the capturing & returning of slaves who had run away and were in hiding as long as they were still in the territory of the United States. What came out of this act being passed was a large migration of Black Americans to BNA through the Underground Railroad in order to escape being enslaved.
