jan 1, 1946 - Public Unveiling of Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer (ENIAC)

Description:

In 1943, John mauchly and J. Presper Eckert built the Eniac computing system at the Moore School of Electrical Engineering of the University of Pennsylvania, it was introduced on February 15, 1946.
Instead of using electromechanical technology it uses electronic which makes it 1,000 times faster than any previous computer. ENIAC uses panel to panel wiring and switches for programming, which used up more than 1,000 square feet, used 18,000 vacuum tubes and weighed 30 tons. It was said that ENIAC had done more calculations over the ten years it was in operation than all of humanity had ever done up till that point in time.
