Description:
As a result of conflict between the Danish King Christian II, and the supporters of the Swedish regent Sture, the Danes conspired to kill 80 Swedish nobles. The Stockholm Bloodbath launched Sweden into an all-out Civil War, led by Gustavus Vasa. Following the Civil War, the Swedes seized power from Christian II and later elected Vasa as the Swedish King in 1523.
